But her career slowed after her marriage to Tom Cruise, with speculation that his influence played a role.

Kevin Spacey is an American actor.

Known for his work on stage and screen, he has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, a BAFTA Award, a Golden Globe Award, a Tony Award and two Laurence Olivier Awards as well as nominations for 12 Emmy Awards.

In 2017, Spacey faced several allegations of sexual misconduct. In 2018 and 2019, Spacey faced multiple criminal investigations; however, in each case Spacey was either not charged or the charges against him were dropped.

He has denied the accusations and was found not liable in a 2022 lawsuit in New York.

In a separate case in London, he was acquitted by a jury of sexual assault charges in 2023.

11. Michael Richards

Michael Richards was beloved as Kramer on Seinfeld, but a racist outburst during a stand‑up routine destroyed his reputation.

James Franco is an American actor and filmmaker.

In 2014, a 17‑year‑old girl posted several screenshots of alleged messages between her and Franco on Instagram.

The messages showed that Franco, then aged 35, tried to meet her in a hotel room even after she told him she was only 17.

A lawsuit filed by some of Franco's former acting students alleged sexual harassment and fraud; the suit was settled for $2.2 million in 2021.

Due to allegations of misconduct derailed his career, he’s faced backlash and lost major projects.

13. Shia LaBeouf

Shia LaBeouf is an American actor and filmmaker.

He played Louis Stevens in the Disney Channel series Even Stevens, a role for which he received Young Artist Award nominations in 2001 and 2002 and won a Daytime Emmy Award in 2003.

Shia LaBeouf was a child star and rising talent, but controversies and legal issues have overshadowed his career, leading to a significant decline.​​

Joe Son is an American convicted felon, former actor and former mixed martial artist, kickboxer and professional wrestler.

In 2008, he was arrested in connection to a 1990 sexual assault after DNA evidence linked him to the crime.

In 2011, he was found guilty and sentenced to seven years to life in prison in California. While incarcerated, he was convicted of beating his cell mate to death and was sentenced to an additional 27 years for voluntary manslaughter.

15. Crispin Glover

Crispin Glover is an American actor, filmmaker, author and artist.

His breakout role was as George McFly in Back to the Future (1985), which he followed by playing one of the leading roles in River's Edge (1986), but his career stalled due to clashes with studios and controversial choices.

He’s remained a cult figure, but never reached mainstream success.

16. Cas Anvar

Science fiction fans embraced Cas Anvar on The Expanse until multiple sexual misconduct allegations surfaced in 2020.

An investigation followed and led to his removal from the show. Since then, he has continued voice acting work and maintained a presence at fan conventions.

17. Stephen Collins

For years, Stephen Collins portrayed a wholesome image on 7th Heaven.

That reputation collapsed after he admitted to inappropriate sexual conduct with minors, which ended his career.

Despite his absence, the show itself continues to air widely in syndication.
